Federica Mogherini, the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and the Vice President of the European Commission, met with members of the Presidency of BiH Dragan Covic, Mladen Ivanic and Bakir Izetbegovic yesterday in Brussels. They exchanged their opinions on the political situation in our country and its path to EU integrations.
The High Representative and members of the Presidency of BiH discussed the upcoming Strategy for Western Balkan and the priorities that await the authorities of BiH, especially when it comes to completing the responses to the Questionnaire of the EC, as well as ensuring the continued and effective implementation of the Reform Agenda.
Reforms should encourage changes that are required for the progress of BiH on its path towards the EU integrations.
The High Representative also noted that political parties need to approach the reform of the electoral legislation without any further delay and ensure the maintenance and implementation of elections in accordance with the international and European standards.
She retreated the determination to provide a support to all of their Western Balkan partners, including BiH, in taking determined steps on their way to the EU, as announced by the EU Delegation.
