FC Sarajevo expects a great reinforcement. The negotiations between the current champion of B&H and great national team player of Montenegro, Simon Vukčević, are currently in progress.
If this football player starts playing for maroon team, it would mean one of the biggest reinforcements in the history of the B&H football, considering the fantastic career that Vukčević has.
In his rich career, this Montenegrin played for Partizan, Saturn, Sporting and Blackburn, and his last engagement was in Levadiakos. He wore national team jersey for 43 times, and he was a striker two times.
The arrival of Vukčević on our biggest stadium is almost to be realized, as confirmed by his manager, Muhamed Harbaš.
“I want to inform the army of FC Sarajevo fans that there is a mutual interest for the arrival of the Montenegrin national team player. It is true that Simon and I visited Sarajevo and we’ve done a fair and concrete interview with Ibraković Abdullah,” said the player’s manager adding that Vukčević is delighted by hospitality and atmosphere in FC Sarajevo and believes that his arrival would be a big deal for our league, considering the fact that no one else with a similar biography came in our league.
“Now, the responsible people from FC Sarajevo are on the move and I can assure you that, if the club is interested enough, Simon Vukčević will be wearing maroon jersey from the next season. It all depends on how fast FC Sarajevo will react, because Simon has offers from Spain, Portugal and Turkey as well,” concluded Harbaš.
Vukčević plays the position of center midfield, and he is known as one of the biggest talents from this region. This is proved by his current transfers that amounted to nearly 7, 5 million GBP. His arrival in FC Sarajevo will most likely open the doors to the other players, who most probably did not even think to play on B&H terrain.
