Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Denis Zvizdic, took part in the 54th international security conference, which started yesterday in Munich.
The conference is attended by 30 statesmen and governments, and main topics of this conference refer to discussions on main international security challenges and they are focused on threats to the international liberal order, conflicts on the Middle East and the control of weapon, with the emphasis on the nuclear program of North Korea.
Chairman Zvizdic also noted that BiH is part of a global coalition in the fight against terrorism, and noted that everyone is threatened by terrorism in the region, both in Europe and the entire world.
He also added that the relationship between the European Union and NATO is in the focus of the conference, which share the same values and same goals, but he stated that the EU is becoming an increasingly significant “player” when it comes to the fight against terrorism.
He stated that today’s day is reserved for bilateral meetings and that he had the opportunity to meet with the Chancellor of Austria and the Prime Minister of Bulgaria, who represents the EU, and that this represents a great opportunity for meetings at the margins and conversations about the European future of BiH.
“BiH has crossed the path in the past three years, which it was expected to do in the last 15 years, we managed to condense what we missed in the last ten years and we made a great progress on the path of EU integrations, which has been noticed, and BiH is slowly completing the dynamics of the Western Balkan countries,” noted Zvizdic.
He appeals for the European integrations to remain in focus, to engage all forces in the public and the civil sector in our country to start with the implementation of the most important foreign policy goal, the membership in the EU.
