On 17 January 2020 the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed the indictment in the case of Admir Rizvanović et al. charging the accused Admir Rizvanović, Smajil Omerović and Jasmin Huskanović as follows: under Count 1, that they committed the criminal offense of War Crimes against Prisoners of War under Article 175, Subparagraphs a) and b), of the CC BiH, as read with Article 29 CC BiH. Count 2 of the Indictment in relation to Kemal Hindić, Martin Frančešević, Ramiz Plajkić, Ivo Anđelinović and Bahrija Fazlović was refused. The Indictment issued by the BiH Prosecutor’s Office was confirmed in relation to Admir Rizvanović, Smajil Omerović, Jasmin Husaković, Hazim Fazlović and Ramiz Plajićconcerning the criminal offense of War Crimes against Prisoners of War under Article 175(1), Subparagraphs a) and b), as read with Article 180, Paragraphs 1 and 2, and Article 29 CC BiH.
The Indictment, inter alia, alleges that the accused Admir Rizvanović, Smajil Omerović and Jasmin Huskanović, as members of the Intervention Unit of the 3rd Battalion of the 108th Motorized Brigade of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, together with Rašid Gušo, subjected their victims to inhumane treatment and torture, inflicting on them heavy bodily pain and injuries, after which they killed them by the use of firearms and decapitation.
