Border Police Inspector arrested for Corruption

Acting on the order of the Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption, police officers of Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the area of Velika Kladusa, deprived the suspect of S.S. initials, an employee of the BiH Border Police with the rank of inspector.

The suspect is under investigation for a corrupt criminal offense – receiving gifts and other forms of benefit, under Article 217 of the Criminal Code of BiH.

During the investigation, evidence was gathered that the suspect demanded and received money from one person, in order to illegally favor the return of the seized motor vehicle.

After gathering evidence and information, activities were undertaken to deprive the suspect of his liberty, who will be handed over to the acting prosecutor within the legal deadline, who will examine the suspect and decide on further activities in the case, said Boris Grubesic, spokesman for the Prosecutor’s Office.
