Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Presidency member Sefik Dzaferovic met on Thursday in Baku with Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and personally thanked the Bulgarian Government for the selfless engagement during the EU presidency, during which the European perspective of the Western Balkans was restored among the priorities.
Dzaferovic emphasized that in the new strategy of the European Commission for the Western Balkans, documents from the Summit in Sofia and through mechanisms such as the Berlin Process, a number of very good initiatives and projects have been launched to improve economic, infrastructure, energy and security within the Western Balkans region.
Dzaferovic and Borisov emphasized that strengthening of regional cooperation and connectivity is the best way to build trust and improve relations in the region.
Dzaferovic addressed the participants of the World Forum Baku at the opening ceremony, and will speak on Friday in the panel “Present and Future of the Balkans”.
