Permanent Representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) to the United Nations (UN) in New York, Ambassador Sven Alkalaj, and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Togo to the UN, Ambassador Kokou Kpayedo, signed Joint Statement on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Signing ceremony was held in the premises of the Permanent Mission of BiH to the United Nations in New York, during which ambassadors exchanged views on possibilities for enhancing and intensifying bilateral cooperation, and stressed that exchanging bilateral visits at the highest level would significantly contribute to deepening friendly relations and open up new opportunities for cooperation.
The interlocutors also exchanged views on current topics within the UN, emphasizing the unquestionable support for multilateral efforts to fully implement the 2030 Agenda, achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, primarily through the advancement of economic stability, respect for human rights and the maintenance of international peace and security.
