BASF Foundation, in cooperation with UNICEF, launched a project in order to help alleviate the devastating effects of flooding in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Serbia. To be more precise, the project is worth of 300 000 Euros and the BASF Foundation contributed with 200 000 Euros.
According to the Foundation, money will be used for the rebuilding of schools and institutions.
The Executive Director of UNICEF in Germany, Christian Schneider states that “support from BASF Stiftung helps families in the Balkans again stand on their feet.”
“The floods have destroyed homes, leaving many families literally without anything they had before. This natural disaster hit the poorest families in the hardest way. Support BASF Stiftung allows us to help children and their families” – he added.
BASF Foundation is a charitable foundation based in Ludwigshafen, Germany, and is dedicated to providing assistance in case of disasters.
