In July, Banja Luka Airport served the most passengers in one month, which is a record in its history. A total of 27,829 passengers passed through the airport gates, which is an increase of 63% compared to the pre-pandemic 2019.
Between January and July, 40,727 passengers passed through the airport, Ex-Yu Aviation reported.
Growth at Banja Luka Airport is driven by Wizz Air, which in June launched five-point operations in Europe to the second largest city in Bosnia and Herzegovina, swot writes.
As previously announced, Banja Luka Airport offers more airline seats in the second half of the year than it did before the coronavirus pandemic.
