On December 30th , member of Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bakir Izetbegovic hosted eight students who have completed their education with average grade ten (A).
In this way he wanted to point out that investing in education pays off and that B&H counts on its young and smart people and that the country will do anything to keep them from moving out of B&H.
“We are faced with struggle with organized economies within the EU and we can catch up and overtake competition only with boys and girls who are here with us today. Our interest is, perhaps more than theirs, to keep them in Bosnia,” Izetbegovic told reporters before meeting with students.
Sejla Hadzic has completed the first cycle of studies at the Faculty of Science in Tuzla – Department of Applied Physics. She told journalists that her intention is to continue her training, but does not yet know whether in B&H or abroad. According to Sejla, if she decides to continue her education abroad she would like to use her knowledge in Bosnia.
Armin Orkanovic graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Tuzla and is currently in Munich for the master studies. His goal is to be scientist in future and he points out that everyone who goes to top universities has a similar intention, that is, to acquire the best possible education. When asked about returning to Bosnia, he said that he has recently went abroad and that it is difficult to make such decisions at the moment.
The meeting with students was organized in the stateroom of the building of the Presidency of B&H. An appropriate artistic program was held in their honor.
