Chris Gabriel, a successful Australian businessman with an impressive career in the field of telecommunications and technology who is working on five continents, is spending his vacation in our country, in the city of Neum, with his wife Djemila Talic Gabriel, the honorary consul of BiH for New South Veils. Gabriel was recently a guest lecturer at Mostar University, and his wife will be a special guest at the Sarajevo Film Festival at the premiere of the new film by Jasmila Zbanic.
Gabriel is one of the few businessmen who can see a great potential in our country for work and investment, despite the complicated bureaucratic apparatus that usually rejects investors.
He founded a company in BiH that is primarily engaged in real estate development, consulting and mobile technology, which is his area of expertise. The field of activity of this company is also tourism, consulting, and they are also interested in the mobile technology industry.
“Depending on whether there will be opportunities for that job here, I will definitely invest in young people and help them make good business. I already gave a lecture at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Sarajevo and the University of Mostar. There are young, perspective, capable and smart individuals with good ideas, and I am certainly planning to invest in them and help them in the development of their own companies, and therefore everything depends on the opportunity,” said Chris Gabriel.
According to him, they are in constant connection with the Bosnian community in Australia, which, as he says, has numerous successful people in different fields, and one of them is Edhem Eddie Custovic.
“I am working very closely with people in the Bosnian and Islamic community in Australia together with my wife Djemila, and Bosnians are very warm, open, interesting people, and I enjoy their company. Also, they accepted me and call me “Bosnian son in law”. They often discuss real estate and business development with me, and I am happy to help them to achieve improvement,” said Australian businessman.
He noted that BiH should take Australia as an example and model of a country where people of different nationalities, skin color, and religious orientation, successfully live together.
