Bosnia and Herzegovina’s (BiH’s) athlete Amel Tuka won the first place at the Ninth International Athletic Rally in the Italian town of Castiglione della Pescaia.
Tuka was first at 800-meter-long race which he finished at 1: 46.21, leaving behind Kenyan Melly (1: 47.36) and Italian Romanija (1: 50.62).
Given the heavy weather conditions and the rain that was falling all the time, Amel is pleased with the result.
“Rain during the whole rally was the biggest problem for us, it was falling during the warm-up and during the race, and made it very difficult, so I am satisfied with the result, though this is my first race in the season and I went below 1:47, which was the goal, “says Tuka.
“I have a looked at the start list, which includes Ryan Sanchez, Peter Bol, Marcin Lewandowski, Sowinski, Deng, Kramer, Saruni and Kipkoech, and it says enough how strong the competition is,” Amel Tuke said.
