BH singer Amel Curic is a winner of this year’s X Factor Adria after being better than the representative of Macedonia Bobi Mojsovski in finals.
Amel started and finished his journey in X Factor with the song of Bijelo Dugme “Da te bogdo ne volim“.
After this song, Amel was better and better and once more showed that he hadn’t won without a reason 12 years ago in the show OBN Music Talents.
Amel Curic was born on 7th August in 1980 in Gracanica. He started to deal with the music as eight-year old. His interest for music in childhood certainly determined his life and education. Parents enrolled him into the music school, but war interrupted his education.
However, bullets and grenades have not prevented Amel in his music education. He taught chords in the basement in order to start playing in bands later.
Wider BH audience met him after he applied for the first BH reality show OBN Music Talents whose finals were held on 14th December 2003 in Zetra. In a very strong competition consisted of Enver Lugavic Kice from Banovici, Jelena Milusic from Mostar and Suana Muhibic from Konjic. However, at the end, Amel was one who had the most reason for satisfaction.
Three years later, Amel published his first studio album “Urnebes“. A song of Nermin Puskar “Moja djevojka“ which was nominated for BH music award “Davorin 2005“ for the song of the year, was also on his album.
However, his incredible voice and talent were not followed by a sufficient success so he decided to make a new step in his career which prove to be very correct one and applied at the X Factor. He admitted that he wanted the entire region to meet him, and he did it with the first song already.
During this competition he was the most constant singer and was passing without much criticism with words of praise. He mainly kept singing songs of the regional singers which was a winning combination.
Congratulations Amel!
