If he continues pursuing the path he took, the 11-year-old Semir Brkić will undoubtedly become a famous name on the BiH art scene.
This talented boy is a student of 6th grade of the Second Elementary School in Konjic. He is unbelievable because he has photographic memory and he pays attention to every detail of every painting he makes.
Father of the young artist Husein Brkić says that already in the second grade of elemetnary school they noticed his love for painting and they soon enrolled him in the painting school „Zuko and Lazo“ in Konjic, led by the professor Vedat Mujan.
Semir uses acryl on paper, his favorite theme is nature, and he buys his own painting materials.
„We have already sold four of his paintings so he is practically financing himself, and our family abroad also sent some materials he need,“ Brkić said.
What does Semir’s day look like?
„He gets up at seven and he is at school until 1 pm. On Mondays he has training sesions and painting school in the evening. On Wednesdays and Sundays he also trains and on Saturday he plays matches in the youth league of Herzegovina. He does his homework as soon as he gets from school, then he takes some rest, study, and prepares for another day. He also plays with his friends,“ Brkić said.
In addition to success in painting, Semir is an excellent student at school and trains football in the football school „Bambino“.
The biggest dreams of this talented boy are to play in FC Velež and make his independent exhibition.
