The mobile hospital, which was procured for the Republika Srpska entity, and then returned, due to delays with the procedures in the Agency for Medicines of Bosnia and Herzegovina, was sold to Turkey, for twice as much money, Klix.ba news portal reports.
The owner of TR Bratunac and the company Balkan Global Slaven Ristic confirmed for RTRS that he sold the hospital for 4.8 million Euros.
Earlier, the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Republika Srpska has formed a case related to the procurement of a mobile hospital, which was conducted by the Institute of Public Health of the RS.
The mobile hospital, which Republika Srpska paid 4.3 million marks for, was removed from Zalužane near Banja Luka.
The mobile hospital is the subject of an investigation, and the Republika Srpska police seized procurement documents from several institutions.
In the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska on Monday, there was even an incident, almost a fight between the deputies.
Bosnian Presidency member Milorad Dodik said that Ristic informed him that the mobile hospital, which the Government of Srpska was supposed to procure at the price of 4.3 million marks, was sold for about five million euros to Turkey.
He added that he thinks that the hospital was needed even then, without ruling out the possibility that it will be needed in the future as well.
