When it comes to the dynamics of answering the questions from the European Commission Questionnaire, the replies to the first 17 chapters have been verified so far, i.e. about 1,400 questions and the first 7,000 pages have already been translated, the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Denis Zvizdic said.
Adding that in this way it was shown that the Coordination Mechanism is functioning, Zvizdic responded to the question of a member of the Serb Club in the House of People Dragutin Rodic (DNS) about the functioning of the mechanism at a joint session of both houses of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH.
Rodic also asked whether all working bodies within the Coordination Mechanism were functioning, while Zvizdic said that, among other things, the Rules of Procedure of the Collegium for European Integration were adopted, the decision on the establishment of the Commission for European Integration and the Rules of Procedure on the work of the European Integration Commission.
“The decision was also made to establish working groups for European integration, the decision to establish a working group for political criteria, working groups for economic criteria and the working group for public administration reform and the list of chairpersons and deputy chairpersons of working groups and other documents,” said Zvizdic.
He confirmed that all were dedicated to promptly answer questions from the Questionnaire, and more than 1,000 individuals were appointed to all working groups and held about 160 meetings.
Presently, Zvizdic concluded that he can speak about optimistic projections, if there were no political blockades, in the way that by the end of this year there will be prepared answers, translated into English and sent to Brussels.
