Through the strategic projects for economic development of BiH, the FBiH Government intended to invest a total of 305 million BAM from international creditors in four tourist facilities in FBiH.
It is a list of projects included under the “Top 100 Priorities of the FBiH Government”, prepared by the government in January this year and whose implementation has already started.
According to the media, construction of megaprojects is planned, including a shopping center-complex “Korea” in Novo Sarajevo, reconstruction of the hotel “Neretva” in Mostar, the hotel “Igman” in Sarajevo, and the construction of a hotel “Skenderija” on Skenderija.
The estimated value of the shopping center “Korea” is 130 million BAM, and the facility should cover around 10.000 square meters. Reconstruction of the hotel “Neretva” in te center of Mostar should cost 12 million BAM.
The most valuable investment is the construction of a hotel-complex “Skenderija”, whose value is estimated to 158 million BAM. This hotel will be located in the northwestern part of the Skenderija complex.
The project foresees construction of a five-star hotel of total worth of 114 million BAM, renovation of the Skenderija plateau worth 30 million BAM, and restoration of the Ice Hall worth 30 million BAM. According to the documentation, the hotel will have 17 floors, 700 beds, 220 rooms, garage with 150 parking lots, a conference hall, numerous restaurants and plenty of amenities.
