The President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik and Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic officially marked the beginning of construction of the bridge on Drina River between Ljubovija and Bratunac, which is more than 12 million EUR worth investment.
The deadline for completion of the works is September 2017, but it is expected that the bridge will be ready for crossing at this time next year.
Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure of Serbia Zorana Mihajlovic, the Minister of Transport and Communications of Republika Srpska Nedjo Trninic, the Mayor of Bratunac Nedeljko Mladjenovic and the President of the Assembly of Municipality Ljubovija Miroslav Micic attended the event as well as large number of citizens of Podrinje.
On Friday, the 16th of October, employees and machinery of company “Ratko Mitrovic” from Belgrade started works on landscaping and clearing the route on the right side of the Drina River for construction of access road and the bridge between Ljubovija and Bratunac.
All preparations have been carried out, and representatives of the Serbian government signed an agreement on the 29th of September with the company “Ratko Mitrovic”, which is leading a consortium of 4 companies that will carry out the works.
