Third Contingent of Medical Equipment from Russia arrived in Banja Luka


A third contingent of medical equipment and assistance from Russia has arrived in Banja Luka as help in combating the coronavirus epidemic, Vijesti.ba news portal reports.

The third plane was greeted by a member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik.

He announced that another medical aid plane would be coming in seven days, adding that Russia had once again shown that it was with Republika Srpska.

“The essence of the operation is thorough disinfection of all hospital and later open spaces in all cities of Republika Srpska,” Dodik emphasized.

The second and third planes delivered medical equipment and disinfectants.

The first plane that arrived, among other things, brought respirators, but also medical experts.

The first contingent of assistance was welcomed by Dodik, together with Republika Srpska President Zeljka Cvijanovic, Prime Minister Radovan Viskovic and Russian Ambassador to BiH Peter Ivantsov.
