The third International Festival of Literature “Bookstan” will be held from July 4 to 7, in the capital city of BiH.
The main topic of the third edition of Bookstan will be the Borders and Boundaries, which was defined by Geerk Mak, this year’s curator of Bookstan.
“I am very happy to see the strengthening of this festival and I am sure that it will be much better than the previous two festivals, which would be normal, because I can see that this program is leading to progress and I believe that it will be successful,” said Minister of Culture and Sports of Canton Sarajevo, Mirvad Kuric.
The Balkan route, the borders, solidarity with refugees from Syria as our moral responsibility, are just some of the topics of this year’s Bookstan. Visual solution of the festival, created by graphic designer Bojan Hadzihalilovic, creative director of Agency Fabrika, is done in the same manner.
“I would like to thank Agency Fabrika and all creative people who have the honour of doing festivals such as Bookstan, where we can always think of something new and make a distance from commercial and hysterical world,” said Hadzihalilovic.
Frank Westerman, David Mitchell, Chris Keulemans, Eric Faye, Femke Halsema and Griet Op de Beeck are some of the guests of the festival, and they will talk about the influence of writers on thinking and acting beyond their limits.
