After the remains of about 20 people, which probably date from the World War II, were found on the site of Snagovo, on which the State Prosecution will inform the embassies of the Republic of Italy and the Federal Republic of Germany.
Italian money from that time was found by the remains, as well as certain items for the personal use on the German language, German watches and money, so it is likely to assume that they were German and Italian citizens.
The jaw bone with a large dental intervention (gold teeth, etc.), was found among remains which could greatly facilitate the identification of these persons.
After exhumation, the remains were transferred in the identification center for forensic DNA analysis, and the Prosecutor’s Office of B&H will inform the consulates of Italy and Germany in the coming days, in order to continue the activities of the identification of these persons, as announced from the Prosecutor’s Office of B&H.
