The first Sarajevo Halal Fair – SHF will be held in the capital of BiH from September 27th to 29th, this year in Skenderija.
The SHF 2018 will gather halal manufacturers, distributors and customers from all over the world. Moreover, the fair will also encourage meetings of manufacturers of halal products and providers of halal services with customers and distributors from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia and Turkey.
From BBI was noted that this event represents a unique opportunity for halal producers to establish contact with distributors of halal products that are present in markets all over the world, and which can provide global promotion and sale of halal products and services from our region.
There are more than 85 companies with halal certificate operating in BiH, while there are more than 120 of them in the region, and they offer more than 4,500 products and services in the region.
The fair will take place under the auspices of Chairman of the Presidency of BiH, Bakir Izetbegovic, and the organizer of the event is Bosna Bank International (BBI) in cooperation with the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB).
Among others in the delegation of Malaysia who will attend the SHF 2018 will be the Minister in the Prime Minister’s department H.E. Dato Mujahid Yusuf Rawa, as well as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia H.E. Senator Dato Marzuki Yahya.
Deputy Minister of Primary Industries of Malaysia H.E. Shamsul Iskandar bin Md. Akin will lead a delegation of 25 businessmen from the Aluminum of the International Islamic University of Malaysia. SHF 2018 will be also attended by 20 businessmen from the National Chamber of Commerce of Malaysia for the Kelantan Federal State, led by Chamber Adviser Mr. Mohd Rosley Ismail.
“Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, which has organized six fairs of Turkish products so far in Sarajevo, is pleased to confirm the participation of its members at the Sarajevo Halal Fair. In the presence of the Turkish national stand in Sarajevo Halal Fair 2018, fifteen members of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce will be presented, and we invite all other participants to visit us, exchange experiences and possibly establish cooperation”, announced Istanbul Chamber of Commerce.
During the Sarajevo Halal Fair (SHF) 2018, meetings will be held with regional producers of halal products and providers of halal services from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, Slovenia, Macedonia and Albania with large buyers and distributors from the European Union, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Indonesia and many other markets.
Organizers of the Sarajevo Halal Fair (SHF) 2018 especially emphasize that the market for halal products and services is one of the fastest growing in the world, which can be illustrated by the fact that consumption of halal foods and drinks is almost twice as high as global growth according to State of the Global Islamic Economy Report 2017-2018. According to the same report, growth trends have also been recorded in the area of halal tourism, pharmaceuticals, cosmetic products, Islamic finance.
Demand for halal products and services is growing year by year and there is already a lack of supply in relation to demand, which is an opportunity for companies from our region to present themselves to wholesale and retail chains at Sarajevo Halal Fair (SHF) 2018.
