Pilgrims from B&H are very well, and their state of health is better than it was the case with pilgrims in previous years. Every night they listen to lectures that are organized for them, said muderiss Nezim ef. Halilović, Director of the Office for Hajj and Umrah in B&H, who is the most responsible person in the organization of the Hajj again this year.
He said that pilgrims are very excited. After almost a week in Medinah, a group of pilgrims, more precisely 600 of them, put on their white ihrams and continued their journey towards Makkah.
Pilgrims will shortly stop on Mikat (border) in Zul-Hulayfah, which is six kilometers away from Medinah, where they will rest a bit, pray, and express their wish to perform the fifth holy duty – the rite of Hajj.
After their arrival in Makkah, pilgrims will be first accommodated in the five-star hotel “Meridien”, which is 1,700 meter away from the Kaaba, and rest after which they will perform Tawaf around the Kaaba, pray behind Maqam Ibrahim, and run between Safa and Marwah, cut their hair and after that the pilgrims will be free, they will take off their ihrams.
Halilovic commented the events in Mecca when the demolition of crane killed more than 100 and injured more than 200 people, and said that when going on the Hajj, person must ask everyone for forgives: “Person must be physically prepared, and ask everyone for forgiveness, his family, neighbors, friends and colleagues.”
This year, 1,411 pilgrims from B&H will perform Hajj, and they will be accompanied by 35 experienced guides. Team of 10 doctors and 4 medical technicians led by specialists in neurosurgery Dr. Merim Omerhodžić, will take care of their health care.
Omerhodžić said that the health condition of pilgrims is very good.
“There were no major interventions, everything is going fine. We have patients with high blood pressure, low temperature, some of them felt sore throat. We examined all of them, the situation is good and everything is going as planned,” said Dr. Omerhodžić.
Terms of departure and arrival are already agreed with the Ministry for Hajj of the Saudi Arabia, not only for pilgrims from B&H but all over the world.
Second group of pilgrims from B&H will depart from Medinah to Makkah today.
