Pocitelj is located on a cliff on the left bank of the Neretva River, around 20 kilometres south of Mostar, along the main road that leads to the Adriatic Sea.
This historic town has been included on the UNESCO list.
Although the town was first mentioned in written documents in 1444, it is assumed that the Bosnian king Tvrtko built it in 1383. This medieval town had a Mediterranean look, but it was eventually oriental redesigned.
And there is already the first blossom recorded in Pocitelj.
