Ten-year-old Zijad Begic from Karaula, a settlement near Travnik, is fighting for his better future.
This boy has a fibular hemimelia, which is a deformation that happens in only one of a million cases and he has a fixator in his leg, but despite this, there is always a smile on his face.
Little Zijad had a birthday 20 days ago and he wished to be able to stand on his both legs soon. The humanitarian organization Pomozi.ba decided to get involved and help this boy. It is planned for Zijad to have a surgery in Egypt, at a hospital in Cairo.
“Zijo’s right lower leg is shorter for 2 centimeters, and this surgical procedure is supposed to make his both legs equal as well as to resolve the deformity of his ankle. The amount of 15,000 EUR is needed for the surgery, and Pomozi.ba immediately secured 2,000 EUR, so we still have to collect those 13,000 EUR,” as stated from this organization.
Pomozi.ba is inviting all citizens to respond to this action and to allow little Zijo to have a happy childhood and a better future.
