Federal Administration for Civil Protection (FACP) will send a team of 10 people with equipment (high pressure water pumps) in Macedonia (Skopje), to help the citizens after the recent floods.
From a total of 14 people in the team of the FBiH, besides 10 members of the FCPA, there will be also two more crews (4 firefighters) from the Civil Protection of Canton Sarajevo with two fire trucks (tanks) and following equipment.
All members of this team are trained and equipped for rapid response in case of a disaster. They will be included in the activities of clearing the affected areas and providing assistance to the civilians.
Teams departed to Macedonia this morning at 10.00 am, and it is planned for them to return on the 21st of August.
From FACP recalled that, in accordance with the decision of the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Agreement between the Council of Minister of BiH and the Government of Macedonia on cooperation in protection from natural and other disasters, Macedonia, addressed the Ministry of Security of BiH through the Emergency Response Coordination Centre (ERCC) with a request for international assistance after the recent catastrophic floods that hit Skopje.
Operation and Communication Center – 112 at the Ministry of Security of BiH sent this request to the Federal Administration for Civil Protection (FACP), which decided to send a team of 10 people with equipment to Macedonia (Skopje).
