The six-member family Merdan from Počitelj lives in disastrous conditions of temporary housing with only 300 BAM of income. This encouraged students and employees of the High Economy School in Mostar to launch a charity campaign.
Students were touched when they accidentally found out that their classmate lives in difficult conditions and that she does not speak about this to anyone. Her father, a nightman, provides the entire income, which is not sufficient for the survival of six members of his family. His wife is unemployed, one son is five years old, the other one is in fifth grade of elementary school, and two daughters attend high school.
They receive no social aid and the Social Care Center stated that they must have someone severely diseased in the family in order to receive financial aid, and that is not the case here.
