A two-day business conference with focus on the information and communication technology sector called “South East European Information Technology” (SEE IT) began yesterday in Sarajevo. The conference was organized with the support of USAID through the project “Partnership for Innovation”. Co-organizers of the conference are USAID’s Regional Economic Growth Project and GIZ Open Regional Fund for Foreign Trade Promotion.
The conference will present the latest trends in the regional and global IT industry, and provide a platform for the promotion of regional business cooperation and access to the EU market for Bosnian local and regional companies.
“USAID strongly supports the development of the information and communication sector in B&H and the region, strengthening of companies and involvement in global development trends, because we believe that this advanced technology can significantly contribute to the total industrial reconstruction in B&H and the region,” pointed out David Barth, the USAID Mission Director for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
SEE IT has gathered 220 accredited representatives of information and communication companies, clusters and associations from 12 countries of the Balkan region and the EU, including Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Germany, Greece, Kosovo, Macedonia, Romania, Serbia and Sweden.
