In a time when youth are more and more leaving BiH in a search for the brighter future, there is a small number of those who dare to make a big steps and achieve positive results in BiH.
Graduated Social Pedagogue Semsa Gacic
Semsa Gacic from Zenica, recognized and liked the work with people with special needs, through her study and various projects. She worked as a volunteer in the association, where she was later engaged as an expert associate in project, and today is the Head of the Daily Center for children and adults with special needs in Visoko. Her school friend who was “different“ in the eyes of children, but was accepted in their class, gave her a tail wind to deal with her today’s job.
He was the first person to whom she loved to help, and she decided to dedicate her life to helping others. She emphasized that money is not and should not be the only motivator for one man to do something.
“Money is one of the reasons for work to all of us, but is not sufficient motivator. That’s why I left other jobs, because simply, you need to love what you are doing. Youth should have a clear goal in their lives, they should know that the work is not necessary evil, but that it could and should be satisfaction and self-affirmation. A will and desire certainly go with such approach, and that is a condition for success. We ourselves are creating opportunities and ways through which we will go. To love yourself means to love others as well. To help other, to feel the delight of altruism, is something that I would definitely recommend to all“, said Gacic.
