BH documentary “Scream For Me Sarajevo” won the Award for the Best Documentary at CIMM Fest, the Chicago International Movies and Music Festival, which took place from November 9 to 12, this year. This is already the ninth award for this film that was directed by Tarik Hodzic and screenwriter Jasenko Pasic, and which was produced by the production company Prime Time from Sarajevo.
This film, which is considered as one of the most important films about the siege of Sarajevo, follows the visit of the frontman of the cult metal band Iron Maiden, Bruce Dickinson and his band to the besieged Sarajevo back in 1994, when they held a concert at BKC.
“The great quality of the film ‘Scream For Me Sarajevo’ is the screenplay and scriptural design of the film that leads us through the difficult, tragic and painful circumstances of the concert with a lot of charm and humor. After this film, unlike many others which follow the same period in Sarajevo, the audience is not depressed after looking at the heavy tragedy of a city and its residents, but they get thrilled and touched in a certain way, as if they were touched by some beautiful magic of the beauty of life and faith in human being, despite everything else.”
Besides the CIMM festival in Chicago, the film also had a Canadian premiere at the Hamilton Film Festival last weekend, and projections at the Rokumenti festival in Finland and the Mostar Film Festival will follow in the upcoming period.
