Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to BiH Renzo Daviddi visited schools in Maglaj municipality which suffered major damage during catastrophic floods in May this year.
Daviddi officially opened Public Institution (PI) Mixed Secondary Center Maglaj and PI Grammar School “Edhem Mulabdić“, which were restored within EU Flood Recovery Program.
These schools, which are situated in one facility, suffered major damage during floods in May and restoration was completed last week.
”Works included new electrical installations, thermal-isolation façade, heating system, sanitary block, floors, new carpentry, walls and roof restoration,” adviser for communication within UNDP Flood Recovery Program Ida Mahečić- Bajović told FENA.
He emphasized this EU investment amounts 664.461 BAM.
Students of both schools thanked the donors, and Daviddi said he was pleased because he personally saw how EU assistance brings changes in lives of people who live in flood affected areas.
Daviddi also emphasized that money that comes directly from the EU citizens confirms solidarity and dedication to help people in Maglaj and other flood affected areas in BiH.
