BiH and its capital city have become an attractive destination for foreign investors in recent years.
The most interested in the construction of luxury resorts, residential buildings, amusement parks and other facilities are Arab citizens, and according to their announcements, Sarajevo and its surroundings could get a whole new look in a few years.
Buroj Ozone
According to announcements, Buroj Ozone will be built on a total area of about 137 hectares in the locality of “Sports and Recreational Centre Bjelasnica-Donja Grkarica-Precko Field-Kolijevka”. The project envisages construction of the content of commercial, residential, recreational, sports and cultural character, including the spa. The total investment is estimated at around 4.5 billion BAM, which is the largest single foreign investment in South East Europe.
“Country side Resort“ near Hadzici
This apartment complex, according to the investors, will be closed and it will contain about 390 housing units. It should be a real complex with an artificial lake, mosque, hotel, shops, bars and restaurants, clinic, spa and wellness center, swimming pool, children’s parks and playgrounds, as well as sports fields. Besides this, in Crepljani is constructed adventure park that will offer the following facilities: zorbing tracks, aerotrim-spinroller, artificial slopes for climbing, sumo wrestling and trampoline, a small plantation of fruits and vegetables, miniature golf, karting track, zip line, bike trails, paintball fields and track for motorcycles.
Tarcin Forest Resort
The construction of Tarcin Forest Resort, a project worth 90 million BAM, is currently taking place. Tarcin Forest Resort is located on a hill Vilovac near Tarcin, on an area of 350,000 square meters and a distance of 15 minutes from the International Airport Sarajevo. The project envisages construction of the Wellness & Spa hotel in an area of 6,000 square meters, 22 residential buildings with 176 apartments, 135 houses, as well as additional facilities for recreation in natural environment.
Almontaza in Osijek
This resort will have about 300 housing units that are currently in the final stages of construction, and the construction of the second part of the project, which will include an artificial lake, playground, sports and recreational facilities and a mosque, is planned for the future, and it will cost around 21 million BAM.
Poljine Hills
Poljine Hills, a luxury resort of 200 villas and 10 apartment buildings is constructed by the company “Al Shiddi”. The investment value of the project is around 80 million BAM.
Nova Ilidza
Nova Ilidza is modern resort that could accommodate 40,000 people. Kuwaiti investors are willing to pay a very large amount of money for this project, and it is assumed that it will take about two billion BAM.
Congress Centre in Novi Grad Sarajevo
Object will contain several halls in which will be held concerts, performances, film screenings and conferences. In the complex will be constructed a hotel, shopping center, garage, office and residential premises. It is anticipated that the main traffic, trams, will be dropped one level below, which will make a place to build a square in the size of a football stadium.
Green Valley in Vogosca
This would be a luxury resort including villas, apartment buildings and entertainment contents such as swimming pools, promenade, playground, gym, supermarket, restaurants, cafes and much more. Investors from the United Arab Emirates should invest several hundred million BAM for this project.
Sarajevo Tower in Pofalici
Located within the former factory “Vaso Miskin – Crni”, the building will have 26 floors with 350 apartments and three underground floors, where will be located about 507 parking spaces. Shopping center is planned on the first three floors.
Besides these, the Government of CS and local authorities are planning the renovation of the stadium, the construction of new roads, large underground garage, Trebevic cable car, swimming pool in Dobrinja and many other facilities.
