Inaugural Wizz Air plane from Budapest landed this morning at the International Airport Sarajevo at 8:55 AM. It took off to Budapest at 9:35 AM. This was the first flight of the low-cost company Wizz Air from the International Airport Sarajevo.
Planes of Wizz Air will fly twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays. Upon their arrival in the capital city of Hungary, the travelers from our country will have other lines on their disposal, namely 61 lines that connect a total of 29 countries.
Sanja Bagaric-Arnaut from the press service of the airport stated that the new line to Budapest, which is the only airline between the two countries, will not only encourage the two-way tourist movement, but it will also establish a strong and important connection for trade and business exchanges.
Finally, not only that our citizens will be able to visit the beautiful city of Budapest, which is famous for its cuisine, brilliant architecture and history, but they will also have the opportunity to continue their trip on all other Wizz Air destinations from Budapest.
Bagaric also noted that passengers can already reserve tickets directly on the website of Wizz Air, www.wizzair.com, or through company Centrotours that signed the partnership agreement with this airline company.
Prices are starting from 39.99 BAM in one direction, and they will vary depending on the number of seats available and the date of travel.
Asked if there are already some indications that they could introduce some new destinations soon, Bagaric said that it depends on the interests of the airline company, but that they expect that Wizz Air, after a positive experience with the line Sarajevo-Budapest, will most likely decide to introduce some other airlines from the International Airport Sarajevo.
