The RS is extremely agile when it comes to new technologies and is today one of the leaders in the region in the application of information technology, a conclusion from the meeting of representatives of ‘’Microsoft’’ and the highest representatives of the RS in Banja Luka.
The President of the RS Milorad Dodik said that the partnership between ‘’Microsoft’’ and the RS has to expand to the area of healthcare, public administration and education.
President Dodik said that the meeting with Delegates from ‘‘Microsoft’’ was about the cooperation that the RS has had for years with the company, and spoke of cooperation in other areas and strengthening
Dodik believes that this cooperation will further develop.
The Vice-President of the RS government and Minister of Education and Technology Jasmin Komić said that future cooperation with this world company will result in new services for citizens, as well as new benefits for investors.
The General Manager for ‘”Cloud Strategy’’ and the Director of Sales and Technology Licensing in the central department of the global corporation ‘’Microsoft’’ Josh Rice said that he was very pleased and that he appreciates cooperation with the RS in reference to work with the public sector.
‘’We hope that cooperation in education and healthcare will expand to other areas, which would contribute to economic growth, knowledge about information technology and communication, and to improve the efficiency of public services’’, said Rice. He also thanked, on behalf of Microsoft, the hospitality of the hosts in the RS.
The Director of ‘’Microsoft’’ for Central and Eastern Europe Dejan Cvetković announced that the RS is a ‘’small country’’, but is extremely agile when it comes to new technologies. They wish to promote what is being done in the RS outside its borders.
‘’The President, Prime Minister and RS Ministers showed exceptional leadership and commitment to the development of information technology’’, added Cvetković.
He said that cooperation with the RS is long-term, because there were discussions on e-government, and further implementing solutions for the modernization of public administration in the RS.
