Yesterday in Brussels, representatives of Croatia have promised that they’ll lobby for BiH in the EU so that BiH gets the green light so that its citizens could enter Croatia without passports after Croatia becomes the EU member.
They said that it is a political decision and that Council of the EU, European Commission must decide on that but Croatian side is optimistic that it could be realized, reports FENA.
Croatian representative have promised that during the Irish presidency over the EU they will mention that issue and lobby strongly for it.
Trilateral ministerial meeting of BiH, Croatia and the European Commission, dedicated to finding the solution to open issues between BiH and Croatia resulted with a deal on several important issues.
BiH Minister of Foreign Affairs Zlatko Lagumdžija, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Croatia Vesna Pusić and EU Enlargement Commissioner Štefan Fule attended the meeting.
It is the second trilateral meeting, and the first one was held on 19 September 2012, and then there was a technical meeting on 19 December, all in Brussels.
