In the first seven months of this year, the Sarajevo food industry – Sprind Inc. recorded an increase in the sales of the phyllo pastry by 56 percent compared to the same period last year.
At the same, this member of the AS Group has increased the sales of bread, pastry, cakes, kadaif and mlinci.
“In July, we achieved record production of the phyllo pastry. We were working at full capacity, at both production lines in three working shifts, thereby confirming that we are the leaders in the production of phyllo pastry in B&H. We are particularly pleased that in the period from January to July 2015, regardless of the strong competition, we managed to increase the sales of bread and pastries by 10 percent and of kadaif and mlinci by 30 percent compared to the same period last year. The consumers recognize the quality of our bakery products and show their confidence in us, so by the end of this year we expect even better sales results”, said on this occasion Memnun Trako, the Director of Sprind Inc.
Particularly interesting is the fact that Sprind tenfolded the sale of cakes, which means that the reactivation of the production of fresh cakes proved to be an extremely successful business move. As a reminder, last year Sprind placed 20 new products on the market, among which were also the fresh cakes.
“The consumers, in addition to the previously known Sprind suffused and dry cakes, accepted the fresh stuffed cakes very well also. We can already announce that, in the fall, we will surprise the market by extending the product range, and also with completely new products that we have never done before”, Trako revealed.
