The adoption of the British resolution on Srebrenica in the UN Security Council would be fatal to the Republic of Srpska and at the same time, would have catastrophic consequences for the future generations and the implications on Kosovo, as considered by the expert of the processes of defense of Srebrenica in the Hague Tribunal, Admiral Boško Antić, and Serbian lobbyist in the UK, Radomir Putniković.
In separate interviews, Antić and Putniković said that the Bosniaks could ask for war compensation if the resolution would be adopted in the Security Council, as well as that everything should be done in order to prevent it.
According to Antić, there was no genocide over Bosniaks in Srebrenica, and the adoption of the British resolution in the UN would be fatal to RS, since it would give a real argument to families of the deceased to request the war compensation.
Antić said that the Hague Tribunal has not determined who ordered and organized the alleged genocide nor number of victims in it, as well as that the number of 8,000 murdered Muslims, which is mentioned in the British resolution, is being manipulated since at the trial of General Zdravko Tolimir a total number of 4970 victims was mentioned.
“Eventual adoption of this paper at the United Nations with data of 8000 people killed will certainly represent a legal argument for their families to request the war compensation in civil proceedings against the RS, which would be fatal for it,” said Antić.
On the other hand, Putniković believes that the resolution will not be adopted, that Russia would veto and that will be the end.
