The Prime Minister of Una-Sana Canton Hamdija Lipovača resigned last night at an extraordinary session of the Assembly, and all who were present accepted his resignation.
Lipovača said that he is ‘’not giving his resignation to hooligans’’, but rather to citizens, the Assembly that appointed him.
He also added that he would serve the function of the prime minister until a new government is appointed, which is expected in the next 10 days. It is expected that the parties in the Assembly agree on a new mandate in the next 10 days.
In addition, Lipovača asked the protestors to not ask for the resignation of the mayors in municipalities in USK, and to not organize any more protests in cities of this canton. Of the present representatives of the protestors, he received a sort of guarantee that there would not be protests, or violent protests, but they also said that this is only one of the fulfilled requirements of the 12.
Prime Minister Lipovača said that he would remain at this function until the formation of a new government, because he will not agree on chaos.
