Works on preparations for the winter and ski season 2015/2016 are in the progress and already last for weeks on the mountains Bjelasnica, Igman, Jahorina and Vlasic.
As announced from the Cantonal Public Enterprise ZOI’84 (CPE ZOI’84), preparations for the upcoming season on Igman and Bjelasnica have been ongoing for 2 months. The ski slopes are getting arranged on daily basis, and most of the terrain is mown and cleaned.
“Overhaul repair of all ski lifts is currently taking place. We hope that the weather will serve us and that we will have a sufficient amount of snow this year for the visitors of our Olympic Mountains and skiers to enjoy in the winter,” they said.
CPE ZOI’84 reminded that action sale of season-tickets have started and it will last until the 1st of November, and the price is 350 BAM. There are also family packages with discounts for children under 12 years old with the 140 BAM, and from 12 to 16 years old 175 BAM.
Preparations for the winter season on Jahorina are ending. Ivana Lizdek, Senior the associate for public relations, marketing and sale of OC “Jahorina” said that the opening of the winter tourist season is planned from the 11th to 13th of December and it will include a fun-entertainment program for the visitors, while skiing on Jahorina should start even earlier, if possible.
“As every year, the trails are arranged, drainage channels are dug up, new turf was laid on the places where it was necessary and the overhaul repair of vertical transportation is completed. Action sale of ski pass is taking place at the moment and will last until the 20th of October 2015. Within the action sales visitors can buy seasonal ski pass for 470 BAM, ski pass for 10 days of the season for 255 BAM and ski pass for 30 hours in the season for 162 BAM,” said Lizdek.
