The Council of Ministers of BiH expressed its satisfaction that the positive trends of recovery and growth of BH economy, which were recorded in 2015 and 2016, were continued in the first seven months of 2017 as well.
Exports in the amount of 6 billion 181 million BAM were realized in the aforementioned period, and it represents an increase of 16.9 % in comparison to the same period in 2016.
Exports to CEFTA countries amounted to 980 million BAM, which is 32.9 % more when compared to the same period of 2016, with the export-import coverage of 77.8 %.
A total of 4 billion and 470 million BAM were exported to the market of EU, which is by 14.4 % more than in the same period last year, and the export-import coverage with countries of the European Union amounts to 72.1 %.
The total export-import coverage amounted to 61 %, which represents an increase of 2.7 % in comparison to the year of 2016.
The trend of growth of the industrial production was continued in comparison to the previous year as well, and the increase in the volume of production was followed by the increase in the number of new workplaces in the real sector.
Also, the trend of tourism increase in BiH continued as well in the first seven months of 2017, which also stimulated a significant increase in the amount of revenue achieved from tourism.
At the same time, a significant progress was achieved in the process of implementation of activities on the EU integrations path, with a special emphasis on the process of responding to the Questionnaire of EC which is taking place in the optimum dynamics after months of obstructions, considering the progress that was made in the process of creating credible assumptions for the activation of MAP, especially after the decision by the Constitutional Court of BiH regarding the site Veliki Zep, which is located in the territory of the RS.
Honest commitment to the further implementation of economic reforms and the continuity of the European and NATO integrations remains one of the top priorities of the Council of Ministers of BiH.
