Representatives of the “Forests of the Republic of Serbia“ company and wood manufacturers in RS, yesterday signed a contract in Banja Luka, about the delivery of wood assortments for the next year in an amount of about 520.000 cubic meters, worth about 56 million BAM.
Contracts are signed by the acting director of the “Forests of RS “company Dragan Grabovac, acting executive director for commercial activities of this company Zoran Stojicic and directors of FMU with the representatives of 67 wood manufacturers.
Talking on the ceremony of signing the contract, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Serbia, Stevo Mirjanic, announced the more intensive work on strengthening systems from primary production to the final product in the forestry, led by the economic interests of all actors in the forestry of RS.
“Forestry and water management represent a very important part of the economy of RS, and we will give them even more importance in the coming period“, said Mirjanic.
He emphasized that today’s signing of the contract represents a new beginning of the production, processing and the generation of income on the new basis which are provided by the economic policy for 2015.
