Germany takes the seventh position in terms of foreign direct investment in Bosnia and Herzegovina with 560 million BAM invested thus far. Some of the most important German investments are Haidelberger Zement AG-Tvornica cementa d.d. Kakanj, Messer Gresheim Haft., And Xella International, as was pointed out during the meeting of Gordan Milinic, Director of the Agency for Foreign Investment Promotion of BiH (FIPA) with the head of the Economic Department of the German Embassy in BiH, Sebastian Damm.
Milinic presented the competencies of FIPA, the activities that it implements on the promotion of country and investment projects, and the support to foreign investors from the registration of the company to the implementation of the project.
Speaking about promotional activities, he pointed out that during 2017, FIPA organized several visits to German companies within the Outreach campaign in Munich and participated in business meetings in Berlin, stressing the upcoming visit to the Expo Real Munich Fair from October 4th to October 6th this year and economic meetings with German investors planned for the end of October in Stuttgart.
Regarding the results of the Outreach campaign, which focused on presenting investment opportunities in the BiH agricultural sector, a visit to the German investor of BiH was announced for the purpose of talks. When it comes to Expo Real Munich, meetings were arranged with German businessmen and investors to discuss investment opportunities in BiH.
FIPA will strengthen promotional activities towards German investors in cooperation with the German Embassy in BiH.
