The Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD), the Democratic People’s Alliance (DNS) and the Socialist Party (SP) signed an agreement on joint action in the government at the level of the RS and assured that they have the necessary parliamentary majority even without the Progressive Party of RS (SNS) of Adam Šukalo.
The three leaders of these parties did not specify what MPs and what parties ensured their majority in the National Assembly of RS, and they only repeated that the new Chairman of the Parliament will be from DNS.
SNSD President Milorad Dodik said, after the signing of the agreement that they have ensured the required majority which will be presented at the first session of the National Assembly of RS at the session on November 24.
“RS will still be led by the coalition, which sustained a stable period for it,” Dodik told reporters in Banja Luka.
President of DNS Marko Pavić said that the coalition of his party with Adam Šukalo lasted until recently, until the president of SNS “set conditions that the DNS could not accept.”
“The Fact is that he is no longer needed for a majority in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska,” said Pavić and confirmed that DNS is still in coalition with the Serb Radical Party of Dragan Đurđević, who also attended the signing of the agreement.
The president of SP Petar Đokić said that cooperation is possible with SDA when asked about possible cooperation at the National Assembly level, but he cannot talk about the final outcome.
Dodik added that, according to his assessment, he does not need SDA MPs because of different political views.
