The long awaited concert of the famous Christopher Taylor resulted in a packed audience at the House of the B&H Army and in a great atmosphere that rarely happens at music concerts in B&H. The audience, which consisted of over three hundred visitors patiently waited for the pianist who took us into his musical world of Bach’s Golderberg Variations. Taylor develops his interpretation of variation since 1993, when he got the bronze medal at the famous Van Cliburn Piano Competition.
Talyor says that variations, “despite the abstract form of this almost mathematical design, the variations are characterized by exquisite lyricism, peaceful and touching and at the same time astonishing diversity and vibrancy that go beyond the origin of lullabies for the sleepless man”.
The pianist returned to Sarajevo for the third time with this fantastic concert. Also, he organizes workshops for students of piano at the Music Academy, since the students at the Sarajevo Chamber Music Institute showed great interest for this initiative. The concert is organized by JU Sarajevo Art and Music Academy in Sarajevo, and also the Sarajevo Chamber Music Festival 2014 is announced as well.
