Experienced Swedish football player Zlatan Ibrahimovic is a new player of Manchester United.
“Time to let the world know. My next destination is Manchester United,” wrote Ibrahimovic on his official Facebook page, thus ending the uncertainty about his new club, which lasted for several months.
This will be the first time for Ibrahimovic in his career to play in England, and his arrival at Old Trafford means a new cooperation with the Portuguese expert and manager of United, Jose Mourinho, with whom he previously worked in Inter.
Ibra played for the junior and the senior national team of Sweden. He played 116 matches for the A team and scored 62 goals. He said goodbye to the national team of Sweden during the current European Championship after Sweden’s falling out from the group stage.
Ibrahimovic won many trophies so far. While wearing jersey of Ajax, he was the champion of the Netherlands in 2002 and 2004. He also won the Dutch KNVB Cup in 2002, as well as Johan Cruyff Shield in the same year.
He was in Barcelona for a very short time, however he won five trophies with them, Primera in 2010, the Spanish Super Cup (Supercopa de Espana) in 2009 and 2010, the UEFA Super Cup in 2009 and the FIFA Club World Cup in 2009.
Four years in the PSG were also extremely successful with four championship titles of France, two French Cup (Coupe de France) in 2015 and 2016, three French League Cup (Coupe de la Ligue) in 2014, 2015 and 2016 and the Champions Trophy in 2013, 2014 and 2015.
