The visit of the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, was announced during last week’s visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Mevlut Çavuşoğlu, to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Sarajevo confirmed that Erdogan is arriving in B&H on the 20th of May. It will be one day visit, and the Presidency of B&H is in charge for preparation and the organization.
Regarding the protocol, the details are not known yet. Erdogan will come at the invitation of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and most likely will be welcomed by the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mladen Ivanić.
It is also known that Erdogan will officially open renovated Isa-beg’s hamam in Sarajevo, whose reconstruction was financed by the Waqfs Directorate of the Republic of Turkey.
