Hotel Bristol in Sarajevo, which changed its name to Novotel when it was purchased by AccorHotels, will open its doors with a new brand in September, Indikator.ba reports.
The opening of the Novotel Hotel in Sarajevo in September was announced on the official website of the hotel. The hotel “in the heart of Sarajevo” is already promoting its expansive and comfortable rooms and is traditional and international cuisine to potential guests. Its halal certificate is also mentioned, which leads us to conclude that the halal orientation of the hotel will continue to be fostered.
Al Shiddi Group signed a franchise agreement with the Polish Orbis Group, a strategic partner of AccorHotels in East Europe, for Novotel, by which Hotel Bristol in Sarajevo joins Novotel’s network of popular midscale class of hotel brands.
Iles Clavie, the president and executive director of the Orbis Hotel Group, said that the hotel chain plans on expanding its network of hotels in the Balkans and in East Europe, with the acquisition and rebranding of Hotel Bristol in Sarajevo being the first one of its kind.
Orbis Hotel Group is the largest network of hotels in Poland and East Europe. It encompasses 117 hotels and is the only supplier of the brand AccorHotels in 16 countries, including Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldavia, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia.
Besides the Novotel project, Al Shiddi Group in April signed a franchise agreement with Swissotel, a subsidiary of AccorHotels, for the development of a new urban hotel with 218 rooms in Sarajevo, which will open in the beginning of 2018.
