BiH Minister of Civil Affairs Sredoje Nović and the Slovenian Ambassador to BiH Andrej Graselli signed today in Sarajevo a protocol on cooperation of BiH and Slovenia in the sector of education.
Nović said that the signing of the protocol enables BiH students, who are studying in Slovenia that starting from this academic year, to not be charged with tuition for foreigners.
“At the same time, for students from Slovenia, who are studying in BiH, it shall apply the same standards, regarding to the payment of the study costs“, explained Nović at a press conference.
He noted that there is a great interest in signing this agreement, from both students from BiH and academics from Slovenia, because it equates BiH citizens with Slovenian and EU citizens regarding the payment of the costs of study, and on the basis of reciprocity.
According to Nović, except for the importance of developing mutual cooperation in the sector of primary, secondary and higher education, a protocol will contribute to better understanding and strengthen comprehensive relations between BiH and Slovenia.
Graselli stated that this agreement is very significant because it institutionalizes the good cooperation between educational institutions of BiH and Slovenia.
He pointed out, that this agreement opens opportunities for the progress in learning Slovenian language in BiH, and Bosnian language in Slovenia.
