After 18 public buildings in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina were renovated, as a part of the World Bank project BEEP (Bosnia Energy Efficiency Project), this year, the implementation of energy efficiency measures are being undertaken as well.
Thirteen objects, of which five are in Zenica-Doboj Canton, two are in Canton 10 and one in Canton Sarajevo, as well as five objects of interest to FbiH, will be renovated.
Six educational objects, two health objects, and five other public objects will be renovated, according to Josip Martic, the federal minister of spatial matters. I’m happy that I see energy efficiency become a more and more important topic and I can proudly say that we’re very satisfied with last year’s results and the year before. The multifold benefits of the project are already noticeable and we’re very happy to have the opportunity to develop the conditions in our public buildings through the implementation of this project, as well as save money and limit our CO2 emissions.”
Undertaking these energy efficiency measures through renovating public objects is a part of our energy efficiency project in BiH – BEEP (Bosnia Energy Efficiency Project) will see 32 million USD invested between 2015 and 2018, of which 19.23 million BAM will be spent in FBiH.
The project is being implemented in public educational and health objects by changing windows, installing thermo-facades and bettering the heating system.
