Representatives of the Russian phyto-sanitary inspection will visit BiH on the 18th of August with the aim of overcoming the problems that led to a temporary ban on exports of fruit and vegetables to Russia, said the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, Mirko Sarovic.
He emphasized that the delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH will visit Moscow on the 16th of August, where they will attend a bilateral meeting with the Russian delegation.
“The efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH gave the results considering the fact that representatives of the Russian Veterinary and Phytosanitary Inspection will come to BiH, and the rest is now on exporters,” said Sarovic.
Sarovic recently communicated with the Russian competent authority from which he requested that their inspection comes to visit BiH in August, as well as to suspend its decision on the temporary ban.
He recently met with the Ambassador of Russia to BiH in relation to temporary ban on the export of food of non-animal origin, or fruits and vegetables to the Russian Federation, which was introduced on the 4th of August by the Russian Veterinary and Phytosanitary Inspection.
